No IPO Under Tk 10 Face Value: DSE President Said

The Dhaka Stock Exchange has decided to discourage companies to be listed with the bourse those will offer initial shares under Tk10 face value.

‘We will discourage companies to be listed with under Tk10-denomination,’ the DSE president, Md Rakibur Rahman told reporters after a board meeting.

He said the bourse would make proposals to the Securities and Exchange Commission to change rules in this connection.

‘Unscrupulous people can easily play foul with the shares of low denominations,’ he said.

The DSE president said, ‘The bourse board also approved the DSE decisions over “Z” category companies taken Wednesday.’
